Virtual machines
5 min
A Lunax VM is an ordinary virtual server: you choose CPU, memory and disk, you get root, and you run whatever you like on it. This is the right product when you need control the managed platform does not give you — a custom kernel module, a long-running process that is not a web service, or software that has to be installed rather than built.
If what you have is a web application, the managed deployment path is cheaper and less work: no patching, no capacity planning, and it scales down to nothing when idle.
Lifecycle
Create, start, stop, reboot and delete from the dashboard. Every state change is recorded as an auditable event, so what happened to a machine and when is answerable after the fact.
Networking
Public IPv4 is allocated per machine. Firewall rules are managed in the dashboard and applied at the platform edge, not just inside the guest — a rule you set stays in force even if something inside the machine changes its own firewall.
