How the builder works
6 min
Quick Start GuideThe Lunax AI builder works from your description inside a project sandbox. The agent can plan changes, write files, install dependencies and run the project build. A saved, verified revision can then be submitted for preview deployment.
The loop you are watching
Every session runs the same four steps, and you see each one as it happens: plan, write, build, repair. The build is a real next build (or the equivalent for your stack) inside an isolated sandbox, not a syntax check. If it fails, the agent reads the error and edits the code again. It will make several repair passes before giving up and telling you what it could not fix.
Approvals
Anything with a lasting consequence stops and asks you first — installing a package that is not on the allowlist, importing code from a git repository, deploying to your live hostname. You approve or reject in the chat. Nothing that costs money or changes a public address happens without you pressing a button.
Revisions
Every successful build is saved as a revision with its own artifact. You can look at any earlier revision and roll back to it, and rolling back re-deploys that build — it does not delete your site. Your history is not lost when a later attempt goes wrong.
What you should give it
Be specific about the things a person could not guess: who the site is for, what pages it needs, what a visitor should be able to do, and any brand colours or wording you already have. Vague instructions produce a plausible generic site. Concrete ones produce yours.
